Tracy Pollan was born in Long – Tracy Jo PollanIsland, New York on June 22, 1960 to parents Stephen Michael Pollan and Corinne Elaine. Her father, Stephen, worked as a financial advisor and writer, while her mother, Corinne, was a columnist for New Yorker magazine. and writes for “Gourmet”. She and her three siblings were raised in a fairly conservative Jewish religious home in Woodbury, New York. Growing up, Pollan attended Syosset High School for some time before later transferring to the Dalton School in Manhattan, New York. where she graduated.
