Eazy-E was an American rapper known as the godfather of gangsta rap and had several wives who had children for him. And even though he died over two decades ago, his name still exudes greatness. Growing up in a violent neighborhood, the legendary rapper managed to carve out a niche for himself and left an indelible mark on the music industry before his untimely death in 1995. Eazy-E Biography
Eazy-E was born Eric Lynn Wright on September 7,1964 in Compton, California. Born in an area known for crime, drugs and violence, Easy couldn’t resist the life his notoriously violent environment offered him. He dropped his high school education in the tenth grade and got involved in drug dealing, amassing $250,000 through his illegal activities. He completed a high school diploma as a General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
The gangsta rapper with his newfound fortune has set his sights on building a legitimate career in the music industry. Getting into music, he met Jerry Heller, a bosom friend, and together they formed a label called Ruthless Records, through which Eazy-E released his first album entitled Eazy Duz’s in September 1988. During the label’s inception, the duo aligned admitted that Easy-E would achieve an 80% ROI, while 20% would go to Jerry Heller.
Ice Cube and Dr. Dre, along with MC Ren, joined Eazy-E to form a hip hop group known as NWA Niggaz Wit Attitude . They released a few albums including; Straight Outta Compton released in 1988 and Niggaz4life After irreconcilable differences, the group formally split. Easy-E’s second and final studio album entitled Drive the Road by Muthaphukkin Compton was released in 1996, ten months after his death.
In his brief tenure in the music industry, he found success and was worth around $50 million before hitting the basement with his $15 million label, Ruthless Record. He has had a total of two studio albums, three extended tracks, one compilation album with the NWA crew and two studio albums with NWA

Eazy-E was born to American parents, RichardWright and Katie Wright. His father was a postal worker and his mother was an elementary school administrator. They really supported Easy-E from his early age until he started to fend for himself. Easy-E also had a cousin whose life was cut short after his involvement in drug dealing in the notorious Compton neighborhood where they were primarily raised. The death of his cousin would later cause Easy-E to give up the drug business and seek a legitimate livelihood.
There is no record of Easy-E having direct ties with siblings. Although the 5ft 2 rapper is said to have been romantically involved with many women throughout his life. He married Tomica Woods in 1995, four years after they met at a nightclub in 1991, only to marry her 12 days into their marriage. She was 3 months pregnant at his death and 6 months after giving birth to twins. She currently oversees the operations of Ruthless Records, her late husband’s record company. The company has produced songs for defunct musical groups Black-Eyed Pea among others.
